Juanita Truesdell-Beatty, 90, of Ankeny, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015,
Juanita was born in River Sioux, Iowa, the daughter of Rhoden and Mary Jane (Dungan) Sample. She was raised in Missouri Valley in ‘Seaton’s Addition’ until she moved to Minneapolis, MN where she attended Minnesota Bible College. Juanita was the activities director of Westmont Care Center in Logan, Iowa for 20 years, retiring in 1986. She enjoyed most of her retirement in beautiful Sun City, AZ.
Juanita had a beautiful singing voice and loved to play the organ and piano. She had a joy for dancing, a green thumb for growing flowers and was a wonderful seamstress. She was well known for her for her giving heart and her amazing apple pies.
Juanita is survived by her husband James Beatty; two sons, Michael Clark of Waterloo, WI, Daniel (Donna) Clark of Ankeny, Iowa and one daughter Leah (Byron) Essig of Timnath, CO; 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, 5 nieces and 4 nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Stephen Clark, a brother Leroy Sample, and sister Violet Pearson, and husband Harvey Truesdell.
Juanita was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed dearly.
