Kenny and Lucy were just a couple blocks away from us on East Sixth, and we always visited with them at Ascension. They watched our kids grow up, and they were sure proud of their kids. They were the sweetest people, and now united in Heaven. God has blessed all of us for knowing them.

I have special memories of visiting the Agard home frequently in Ames while rooming with Beth at ISU for 3 years. Kenneth and Lucille were always so welcoming and it was a nice break from the dorm. Yes, I remember Kenneth's ice fishing and gardening stories! May you treasure all those special memories of your time together. Christy

I enjoyed being with your Dad at Mill Pond during the Holy Trinity Church services. He always had a smile, kept his sense humor and absolutely LOVED his chocolate pie!! Celebrate his 102 years with memories. Sue

We thank the Lord for Ken Agard’s life, all one hundred and two years! A century plus of loving, laughing, learning and even shedding tears. That’s a lot of years of living, of giving and forgiving. That’s a lot of years of working and of mail delivering. Ken could tell a great fish story, and it was always a whopper. 102 years of practice made him an expert fisherman and talker. We thank him for his military service during World War II. He paid a price to keep us free, To God and country, ever true. Ken and Lucille showed us how to have a happy marriage. God blessed them with six children to fill their baby carriage. Yes, Ken had lots of names like husband, Dad, and fisherman, To others he was soldier, friend, Grandpa and mailman. He was a kidder, tease, provider, confidant and avid fan. But the name that was most important as he neared the end of life, Was believer of Christ Jesus who gave Ken eternal life. Whenever we visited, he was quick to credit God and say, Thanks to God for eyes that see, ears that hear and strength for every day. Ken was no doubt surprised to live to one hundred and two, But the Lord numbers our days and plans the work He has for us to do. God bless the memory of Lucille and Ken, Among all who knew and loved them. Pam & John Miller
