Lois Imogene (Gray) Van Dorn passed away March 9, 2017.

A visitation is set for Saturday, March 11th at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 at Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N Ankeny Blvd)

Lois was born April 24, 1919 to Raymond and Ethel Gray of Galt, Missouri. She was the only daughter in the family, as she had 4 older brothers and 3 younger brothers.
Lois married Raymond G. Van Dorn of Rathbun, Iowa on August 27th, 1938. They had one daughter, Alice, and they lived in Rathbun, Iowa until 1948 when they moved to rural Ankeny. Several years later they moved to a home in town.
Lois worked for Dr. D.H. Nord M.D. in Ankeny from the late 1950’s until she retired in the mid 1970’s. Lois also enjoyed working for the Family Chiropractic Clinic in Ankeny for many years. She was a long-standing member of Ankeny Baptist Church.
Lois is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, her parents, seven brothers, and one grand-daughter, Brenda Raye.
She is survived by her daughter Alice Struthers (Jon Sr.), her grandson Jonnie Struthers (Connie), a grand-daughter, Amy Stupka (Nate), and 4 great grandchildren, Lindsey, Josh, Dylan, and Nicholas.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to Ankeny Baptist Church.
