Raymond "Gunner" Gundlach

Raymond “Gunner” Gundlach, 74, of Mitchellville passed away November 27, 2017.
A visitation will be held 6 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 1, 2017 at Memorial Services of Iowa funeral home (4208 N Ankeny Blvd), with a service beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Gunner was born February 3, 1943 in Winter Mack, IN. Following his graduation from High School, he joined the US Marine Corps. After his honorable discharge, he started his own OTR trucking company where he was an owner/operator for 18 years, until he sold the company. He moved to Iowa, and went to work as a horse trainer at Prairie Meadows until his retirement in 2004.
He enjoyed playing golf and poker, watching football and basketball, and spending time with his family.
Gunner is survived by his wife Linda; daughter Emily Gundlach; step children, Melissa McDonald, Brenda Chapman, Tammie McDonald, and Ida McDonald; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother.
