Rena M. Johnston, 86, of Aurora, IL, passed away March 24, 2022.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 4, 2022 at Assumption Church (1906 Sycamore St., Granger, IA) with visitation an hour prior. Burial will immediately follow mass at Beaver Catholic Cemetery.

Rena was the beloved wife of the late David H. Johnston, Jr.; proud mother of Sarah (Shamus) Toomey, Mary (Mike) Parker, David (Veronica) Johnston and John (Rose) Johnston; and the wonderful full-time “Noonie” to Eloise, Kelly, Henry, Flynn and Franchesca. She loved her kids and grandkids, the Cubs (even when they made her mad), WGN Radio (even though it’s been better), her bridge friends, a good coffee cake from Harner’s and every minute of being around family.
