Shirley Ann Ware passed away November 19, 2017 after a 4 year battle with Lewy Body Dementia.
Visitation will be held 5 to 7:00 p.m., Fri., Nov. 24th at Memorial Services of Iowa funeral home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday also at the funeral home.
Shirley was born in Des Moines, Iowa January 7, 1935.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandma, sister, and especially loved the babies. Our Mother always made sure all the holidays were well planned, making all our favorite foods, and making sure everyone knew how important it was to come together.
Before retiring, Shirley and Ed owned and operated Ed Ware’s Maytag for 31 years, which continues to this day under the ownership of Mike & Theresa Ware. She loved attending all the activities going on in her large family, including going to recitals, football, wrestling, & swimming meets to cheer on her grandchildren!
Shirley is survived by 5 sons, Bob (Sue) Kramme, Karl (Julie) Kramme, Mark (Lorie) Kramme, Clark (Karen) Kramme, Mike (Theresa) Ware, 2 daughters, Julie (Dan) Moulton, Debbie (Dave)Hauser, Sisters, Darlene Pike, Lillie Hazen, stepchildren Mary Ann (Sante) Medici, Peggy Samuels, Skip (Jeny) Ware, 39 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 yrs. Edwin Ware, her parents, Barney & Emma Wilcox, Sister, Francis Schmidt, & 2 grandchildren, Chad & Angel.
Our family is forever grateful to the staff, aids & granddaughter, Jennifer Kramme at Luther Park for the excellent and compassionate care provided to our Mother during these most difficult days.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for a Memorial in Shirley’s memory.
