In 1964 I met Betty at Grandview Park Baptist Church and became friends that cemented over the years. Our families quickly became one--Hyler Family is the best ever and their love was open to me and my family. My family also loved them completely. We shared attendants at our weddings. Her son Kenny was born on my Mom's birthday (chosen by Betty and Ron). While our lives took us many places that separated us, by locations, our friendship was always strong. We always just knew wen the other had a need and a quick phone call was made where we cried and laughed and put our world back on its axle. She had a heart of gold!! If you were her friend you were a lucky one. If I had a pain, she would say "I would take your pain if I could so you would not suffer." Not a mere statement but she would have done it. She was one in a zillion! She was strong through her husband and son's death and she still had a laugh with her dementia ride. She taught her children well, and I am so thankful Bobby and Missy were such loving caregivers. There was no question about their love for her (and me). Even though I live on the West Coast, they kept me in the loop making sure I had opportunities to speak to her. I love them for that so much. Betty, thank you for your friendship. I love you and will forever miss you. But some day, I will see you again in heaven. Save me a seat next to yours. LOVE YOU SIS! (I can hear her giggle at that.) Sheryl
